| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 7, 1999 Contact: Caroline Wilks (703) 330-0335 or Tania Chichmanian (301) 587-6225 Washington, DC Fresh from its successful debut at the Kennedy Centers Terrace Theater April 3, ARKA Ballet will bring its mix of classical and contemporary ballet to summer theater-goers when it performs under the stars July 1. The 8 p.m. performance will take place at the brand-new Mary Louise Jackson Amphitheater in Manassas, Virginia. The program features works by Artistic Director Roudolf Kharatian to music of Bach, Pergolese, Mozart, and Chopin, as well as excerpts from the crowd-pleasing classics Flames of Paris and Don Quixote. Tickets are $14 for general admission chair seating and $12 for lawn seating and can be purchased through PROTIX by calling (1-800) 955-5566 or by visiting PROTIX locations. The Amphitheater is located on the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College, at exit 47B off Route 66. Box office and grounds open at 7 p.m. on the day of the performance.
